OUR STORY

Aricks began with hands-on experience, a recurring problem and the belief that there had to be a better way. Hear Colin Wemyss explain where the business started, how the original Aricks Wheel was developed and how Aricks grew from servicing local farmers to supplying seeding components around the world.

Aricks began as BPR Engineering in Corowa in 2008, servicing local farmers and rebuilding disc seeding equipment. Working directly on worn machines gave Colin and the team a close understanding of where components failed, what those failures cost farmers and how existing designs could be improved.

The original Aricks Wheel was developed in response to the challenges farmers faced when seeding through heavy stubble. Rather than accepting hairpinning and inconsistent seed placement as part of the job, the team designed a simple residue-management system that cleared the path ahead of the opener.

What began as a solution to a local problem proved valuable across a wide range of crops and conditions, establishing the practical design approach that still defines Aricks today. Colin and Jacqui built the business from the ground up, growing it from a local engineering operation into an internationally recognised brand.

That same hands-on approach has since produced a range of more than 80 components designed to improve performance, reduce maintenance and extend service life. From its headquarters in Corowa, Aricks now supplies farmers and industry partners across Australia, North America, New Zealand and Europe.

In 2026, Colin and Jacqui handed the reins to their son Logan, who stepped into the role of General Manager. With the foundations they built firmly in place, Logan now leads Aricks into its next chapter.
